The STX Mesh community brings together radio enthusiasts across South Texas who love exploring GMRS, Meshtastic, and ATAK technologies. Whether you’re new to radio or an experienced operator, you’re invited to join our weekly discussions and network with fellow communicators who enjoy connecting both over the air and over the network.
📅 Weekly Meeting Details
- When: Every Tuesday at 7:30 PM
- Where: Camp Bullis GMRS Repeater – 462.625 MHz
- Who: Open to anyone interested in GMRS, Meshtastic, or tactical data applications (ATAK).
During our weekly net, we share updates, test new gear, and dive into practical setups—from configuring Meshtastic nodes to optimizing coverage on local repeaters. It’s a great chance to learn, experiment, and get hands-on support from the community.
📱 Expanding the Conversation: POC Radio
We’ve also extended our conversations to the Tidradio POC (Push-to-Talk Over Cellular) network. You can find us on the “SA GMRS” talk group. POC allows members to connect from anywhere with cellular data or Wi-Fi—perfect for those who can’t always reach the repeater but still want to be part of the discussion.
POC bridges the gap between radio and internet connectivity, letting our community stay linked across cities and states while maintaining that classic push-to-talk feel.
