POC (Push to talk Over Cellular) Testing

Exploring Push-to-Talk Over Cellular (PoC) for Field Communications

Our team is currently testing Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) technology using TID Radio’s PoC radio system as part of an ongoing effort to strengthen our communication capabilities during breaking events.

The goal is simple: to ensure that when traditional channels become congested or unreliable, we have a fast, reliable, and wide-reaching way to coordinate and share information in real time.

PoC offers the familiarity of two-way radio communication with the added advantage of cellular and Wi-Fi connectivity — allowing teams to stay linked across large areas without being limited by radio range.

We’re exploring how this system integrates into our existing workflows and how it performs in dynamic, high-pressure situations. Early results are promising, and we’re excited about what this could mean for improving response times and situational awareness when it matters most.

Stay tuned for updates as we continue testing and refining this additional layer of communication support.
